This is not that old but old enough. It is made of stainless steel or something as it is quite heavy and silver in color. It has a very scroll type etch design around the bottom of the top area and at the end of the pen just before it starts to taper. It also says it is made in China so suspect it is from the 1990s. However, what is really interesting is the nib. It is made in Germany - not West Germany or East Germany, but Germany and is made out of Iridium which is an element similar to platinum but more expensive. The pen is 5-1/2" long and quite thick through the body. It has a black band around the area above the nib. It is in wonderful condition but no cartridge.
